Description

My Solar City charging station has been showing a connection error for the past 24 hours. The status light is blinking red, and I can't connect to it through the app. I've tried restarting the station by turning off the power for 30 seconds, but the issue persists.

The error message on the display says "Connection Error: Unable to reach server". My internet connection is working fine for other devices.

Hello John,

Thank you for reporting this issue. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing connectivity problems with your Solar City charging station.

Based on the error message and the blinking red light, it appears that there might be an issue with the network connection between your charging station and our servers.

Could you please try the following steps:

  1. Check if your Wi-Fi router is functioning properly and that the signal strength is good in the area where the charging station is installed.
  2. Verify that your internet connection is stable by running a speed test.
  3. Try resetting your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it for 1 minute, then plugging it back in.
  4. After your router has fully restarted, power cycle the charging station again (turn off for 30 seconds, then turn back on).

Please let us know if these steps resolve the issue or if you need further assistance.

I've tried all the steps you suggested, but unfortunately, the issue persists. I reset my router and confirmed that my internet connection is stable (I ran a speed test showing 250 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload).

After power cycling both the router and the charging station, the error message is still appearing. The charging station is located about 5 meters from the router with a clear line of sight, and the Wi-Fi signal strength indicator on the station shows full bars.

Is there anything else I can try? Or could this be a hardware issue?
